                 The skeleton

I walked in the a graveyard on a dark stormy night,

I never wanted to return ‘cos  I got an awful fright.

I turned around and saw a  man made of bones,

Laughing and Joking, making horrible moans.

When I listened again I realised I was wrong,

This was not a moan but the skeleton was singing a song.

As I peered through the branch of a tree,

I rubbed my eyes to make sure I could see.

The skeleton had removed his rib-bones,

And was using them as a xylophone.

With the music, his body did rock,

I couldn’t believe it, I was in shock.

I ran down the hill to fetch my friend,

And tripped on a rock and that was my end!
